The UCL European Institute is delighted to host Mr Klaus Welle, former Secretary General of the European Parliament, in conjunction with the School of Public Policy and EISPS.

The former Secretary General of the European Parliament, Mr Klause Welle, will be visiting UCL on the evening of 8 March. The discussion will look at the role and politics of the European Parliament, the development of transnational parties in Europe, and the outlook for the Euro-elections and choice of European Commission President next year. Mr Welle will also look at the implications of the war against Ukraine for the future of Europe. Dr Michal Ovadek, Assistant Professor in European Institutions, Politics and Policy will moderate the discussion.
