This June, the UCL School of Slavonic and
East European Studies will come together to debate the EU referendum,
specifically focusing on Eastern Europe, migration and security.

Eastern European migration has been a feature of both the 'in' and 'out' campaigns' and as the UK's leading institution focusing on Eastern Europe, we intend to host an expert driven debate to analyse the facts, figures and place Brexit in a broader historical and political context in the run-up to the referendum. We have assembled a specialist panel of our academics to lead the debate and it will feature insight from the multi-disciplinary academic staff of the department. The event will be chaired by one the UK's leading journalist's Liam Halligan (The Sunday Telegraph). We invite the public and academic community alike to come along and engage with the issue, in order to decide for yourself whether Brexit is the right course of action.
