UCL EDI Contribution and Engagement Fund

11 May 2022

We are delighted to announce the launch of the new UCL EDI Contribution and Engagement Fund.

Diverse Group of Students

Supported by the Race Equality Implementation Group, the £70,000 fund aims to advance localised race equity activity at UCL and recognise the emotional labour asked of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic staff and students when undertaking race equity work for the institution.

The fund is open to all staff and students for projects that contribute to the race equity visions outlined in UCL's Race Equality Implementation Action Plan. We also welcome applications for intersectional projects/activities that address race equity challenges in new ways, cross-departmental projects and projects that ensure that good practice is celebrated and replicated across UCL.

"In a university as large as UCL, real change comes from the ground up. The EDI Contribution and Engagement Fund is an opportunity for the UCL community to actively engage with our institutional aims for race equity. I look forward to seeing the fantastic projects we will fund over the year." Aloma Onyemah, Director of Equality Diversity and Inclusion, UCL.

Applications are open until Monday, 6th June 2022, for funds to be spent by 31st July.

If you have any further questions, contact Kae Ohene-Yeboah (EDI Contribution and Engagement Fund Lead).
