Tips for Tots aims to increase recognition of overweight and obesity in preschool children, among healthcare professionals and parents. In particular, the study aims to develop visual and language 'toolkits' to support healthcare professionals in initiating sensitive conversations with parents about their child's weight, and adapt the 'Ten Top Tips ' leaflet (evidence-based behaviour change intervention for adults, using habit theory) for families with overweight/obese pre-schoolers. Tips for Tots is funded by a Cancer Research UK/BUPA Foundation Innovation award.
