TASTE study

The impact of parental guidance in early exposure to a variety of fruit and vegetables on infants' liking and consumption (Part of the EU HabEat study)

The TASTE study was part of a larger European study ('HabEat: Determining factors and critical periods in food formation and breaking in early childhood: a multidisciplinary approach') to investigate the impact of early taste exposure on infants' acceptance of fruit and vegetables. This trial involved the development and testing of a simple intervention in which babies were offered vegetables only as the first weaning foods. The study was funded by a European Union 7th Framework Programme grant.
