UCL IEHC Teams of the Year initiative rolled out to Faculty

‘Teams of the Year’ is an initiative which was developed by the IEHC Equality Action Group to spotlight and learn from teams which are successful in terms of productive, rewarding and enjoyable teamwork.
The awards celebrate teams that work well with each other and find ways to make the most of everyone’s knowledge and skills.
Following the positive impact of the awards, ten institutes, schools and centres in the UCL Population Health Sciences faculty will now be given the opportunity to apply.
The awards encourage colleagues to share best practice for working together, supporting each other and finding ways to collaborate positively and effectively. They are an opportunity to celebrate and reward teams across the faculty, in all their different forms, who are demonstrating excellence.
Orla O’Donnell led the professional services team which won in 2021. Orla outlined the key components of a successful team as:
- Excellent collaboration
- Communication
- Shared learning
- Vison and flexibility
Entries will be reviewed by a panel and everyone is welcome to apply. The deadline is the 29th September 2023.
