PCPH Research paper of the Year 2016
18 October 2017
PCPH Research Paper of the Year 2016 The members of the judging panel (Dr Julia Bailey, Dr Caroline Clarke and Irene Petersen) were pleased to note that the quality of entries was very high, and the broad range of topics and types of publication submitted reflect the diversity and inclusivity of PCPH.
It was not possible to choose a single winner and runner-up, so two joint winners were chosen instead:
Dr Lorraine McDonagh: McDonagh LK, Stewart I, Morrison MA, Morrison TG. (2016) Development and Psychometric Evaluation of the Gay Male Sexual Difficulties Scale. Archives of Sexual Behavior, 45(6), 1299-1315. doi: 10.1007/s10508-015-0664-4
Manuj Sharma: Sharma
M, Nazareth I, Petersen I. (2016) Trends in incidence, prevalence and
prescribing in type 2 diabetes mellitus between 2000 and 2013 in primary care:
a retrospective cohort study. BMJ Open, 6, e010210. doi:10.1136/bmjopen-2015-010210
The two winners gave a ten minute presentation on their papers at a Research Department Meeting in early October. Congratulations to both Lorraine and Manuj.
