Harriette Stone

Area of Research / Academic Interests

Harriette's research lies in the area of seismic risk assessment; more specificially those applicable to the Latin America and Caribbean regions. Working with her industry partner, the World Bank, her aims include helping to inform appropriate fragility and vulnerability functions for use in that region and helping to develop the existing seismic risk assessment tools utilized in the region.

Harriette studied Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering at the Univeristy of Exeter and the University of Surrey respectively. More recently, she worked as a structural engineer at Arup in London and is a graduate member of the IStructE, SECED and EEFIT.
