With the 18th anniversary of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the Island Online editorial, Sri Lanka, published an article Tsunami preparedness within Sri Lanka’s Education System submitted by Professor Priyan Dias based on recent work by EPICentre. The article investigates the impacts of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami on Sri Lanka's education system and how well the education system is prepared at a national and school level were a tsunami to strike Sri Lanka again.
