EPICentre in the Science Museum

On 8 December 2016 the Science Museum opened a pioneering new gallery that explores how mathematicians, their tools and ideas have helped to shape the modern world over the last four hundred years.
In attendance at the opening was Prof Tiziana Rossetto and Carlos Molina Hutt. Research studies from EPICentre on earthquake resistant structures are featured in the exhibition. EPICentre contributed to explain the processes of examining earthquake damage in buildings, recreating in experiments at small or large scale, and then building that data into a numerical model to understand how the whole building will work.
