New commercialisation models to help bring more UCL discoveries to market
30 October 2019
The launch of Portico Ventures sees the introduction of two new models for commercialising intellectual property (IP) to support UCL staff who have created non-patentable innovations.
Delivered by UCLB, Portico Ventures aims to support spinout companies from across the UCL community founded on know-how and software, rather than core patented technologies.
Following a successful pilot, it will now launch more broadly across UCL with two pathways: a founder-driven track and a tailored UCLB-support track.
