Krista has a key leadership role to embed a culture of innovation and enterprise at UCL. This involves developing and implementing strategy and institutional policy, and leading the institutional response to the Knowledge Exchange Framework and Knowledge Exchange Concordat. She’s also responsible for strategic planning and delivery of a portfolio of strategic projects. 
 
Krista leads a number of teams responsible for KE policy and strategy, data analysis and reporting and project and programme management.

Before joining UCL, Krista worked for UCL Business, Scottish Enterprise and the University of California, Berkeley and has an MSc Information Systems and an MA (Hons) English Literature.

Lydia leads and oversees the development and implementation of strategy and institutional policies to encourage and enable innovation and enterprise. She's also responsible for delivering supporting systems, processes and reporting for the department, including the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) and Knowledge Exchange Concordat (KEC), and manages the Policy and Data Management and Analysis teams within Innovation & Enterprise.

Lydia joined Innovation & Enterprise from UCL Communications and Marketing, where she worked in strategic planning, market research and, initially, international student recruitment. Prior to UCL she worked for Lancaster University and a public policy think tank in New Zealand.

Alison leads and oversees the development and implementation of strategy and institutional policies to encourage and enable innovation and enterprise. She's also responsible for delivering supporting systems, processes and reporting for the department, including the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) and Knowledge Exchange Concordat (KEC), and manages the Policy and Data Management and Analysis teams within Innovation & Enterprise.

Alison is on secondment from the RIGE Impact Team, where she is Head of Impact (Research and Institution). In this role she works to enable strategic impact planning with faculties after leading UCL’s REF 2021 Impact Case Study submission. She holds a PhD in Geochemistry from Newcastle University.

Sam’s background is in history (PhD). Before joining UCL Innovation & Enterprise, he worked in commercial education.

Nicolás joined UCL Innovation & Enterprise in 2011 after graduating with a Master's degree in Management from UCL.

Before this he was a Planning, Programming and Control Engineer for Metro de Santiago. He holds a BSc in Industrial Civil Engineering from the University of Chile.

Before joining UCL, Harshila worked as a Due Diligence Analyst for the London School of Hygiene &Tropical Medicine and a Procurement Analyst for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Knowledge exchange programme and project management


Tamsin Sainsbury-Hyde

Senior Project Manager (Interim)

Tamsin works with the Innovation & Enterprise senior leadership team to deliver the innovation and enterprise strategy and activities.

Tamsin is responsible for the oversight and management of a project portfolio and dedicated project management office (PMO). She provides programme and project management for key strategic projects, from initiation through to closure.

Tamsin has an extensive background in project and programme management. At the British Red Cross she led a People Services Transformation Programme and worked as a Learning and Development Strategic Projects Manager. Prior to this she worked for a leadership and management consultancy.


Miriam Sandford

Miriam is on leave until November 2024.

Miriam oversees the project management office (PMO) function and Innovation & Enterprise's project portfolio. She also provides project management for complex key strategic and operational projects.

Victoria Banks

Victoria delivers project support and project management for UCL Innovation & Enterprise and is supporting the transition of the PMO to a more self-service model.

Victoria has worked at UCL for over 12 years in a variety of roles, most recently as Short Course Manager, supporting academics in developing and delivering short course activity.
