Ed is responsible for the management and distribution of more than £7 million of Knowledge Exchange and Impact funding, along with the financial management of the department. He also leads the financial evaluation of new projects, commercial ventures and funding bids.
 
Ed is a CIPFA qualified chartered accountant. He has 12 years’ experience with higher education finance with KPMG and EY.

Mariana was appointed Knowledge Exchange Manager in 2014, having worked for UCL since 2012. She's responsible for the effective management of more than £7 million of knowledge exchange and impact funding held by UCL Innovation & Enterprise. UCL staff can contact Mariana about accessing knowledge exchange funding schemes and for advice in shaping a successful project.

Before this, Mariana managed the submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014) for UCL’s School of Life and Medical Sciences (SLMS). She has more than 15 years’ experience working in the UK Higher Education sector.

Gabriela Bazzo

Gabriela prepares qualitative and quantitative reports on UCL’s knowledge exchange activity for funders. She also helps publicises the activities and outcomes from projects funded by the team via case studies and other communication channels.

Before joining UCL Innovation & Enterprise, Gabriela worked at the UCL Department of Geography, managing research projects funded by the European Research Council. She’s also worked at Brunel University on a knowledge exchange project with Zambian higher education institutions and the government.

Gabriela has an undergraduate degree in Media and Communications, a postgraduate degree in Politics and International Relations, and an MSc in International Migration and Public Policy. She’s also worked as a professional journalist for the HuffPost, Rede Globo, and other Brazilian media outlets, and as a consultant for international foundations and the UN System.

Jen Cosentino

Jen supports the administration of the knowledge exchange and innovation funding held by UCL Innovation & Enterprise.

Before joining UCL, Jen supported the development of life sciences innovations at the University of Leicester and assisted researchers with their grant applications at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Jen has a multidisciplinary undergraduate degree in Humanities and a postgraduate degree in Political Sciences and Public and Institutional Communications from the University of Strasbourg. She worked in France in public administration and associations, focusing on communications project management, before working in the UK.
