UCL Engineering PhD Students Research Festival 2022

29 July 2022

On Thursday 28 July, PhD students in different Engineering departments showcased their research and enjoyed some time together before the summer break!

This one-day event was a hybrid between a conference with short 7 minute presentations by PhD students and social/networking activities during coffee breaks. In addition, participants also enjoyed a drinks reception to celebrate in the evening!

"The Faculty of Engineering Sciences PhD Research Festival has been organised by its PhD students for the benefit of its PhD students with a day of activities that include sharing academic experiences, increasing social interactions, and providing information on funding opportunities. I am grateful to Andrea and his team for all the work in arranging this exciting event" Richard Bucknall, Vice-Dean (Research) UCL Faculty of Engineering Sciences.
“The research festival was an excellent showcase of the quality and diversity of research within the Faculty, and included thoughtful social activities that facilitated meaningful collaborations and friendships between PhD students at all stages of their research" attendee of the event.
