Shadow Science Minister tours UCL Laboratories

Chi Onwurah MP, Shadow Minister for Science, Research, and Innovation visits UCL to discuss developments in artificial intelligence.
The department hosted Chi Onwurah MP on Tuesday 6 February for a thought provoking discussion on the future of AI.
Led by Professor Anthony Kenyon, Ms. Onwurah was given a tour of the cutting-edge laboratories in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. The groundbreaking work being done to advance neuromorphic computing - a field inspired by the complexities of the human brain were discussed and showcased. Additionally, Professor Kenyon shed light on Intrinsic, a UCL spin-out dedicated to pioneering next-generation semiconductors.
The visit underscored the vital role that academic institutions like UCL play in driving innovation and shaping the future of technology.
