Entrepreneurial economics student wins famous Hult Prize and $1m in seed funding

Four UCL students, one a BSc Economics student, set out to solve one of the world’s great food challenges.

The challenge was to reduce the 350m tons of rice wasted annually. Now, having received support from UCL Innovation & Enterprise, they’ve won the Hult Prize and $1m in seed capital.
