PhD candidate within the Centre for Oral Health and Performance of the Clinical Research Department
My project is looking at the oral health of elite athletes and impact on performance. I chose to study at the EDI as this was the institution which offered the chance to conduct research using my skills in an area of interest to me. I am fortunate that funding had been identified and secured prior to the research post being advertised (Joint funding from GSK and UCL Impact award)
I appreciate the wealth of knowledge and experience and associated support available from my supervisors.
I feel extremely privileged to have recruited and met participants for my research study from athlete groups preparing for the Olympics in Rio this summer and other professional athletes.
I would like to retain an association with UCL, the EDI and EDH following completion of my research
