Covid-19

During the pandemic, UCL Eastman has continued delivering excellent postgraduate training to those enrolled on our specialist programmes.

When lockdown measures were first introduced, UCL Eastman was able to switch to virtual learning within hours*. Building on our existing distance-learning expertise, we developed a sophisticated range of online teaching and assessment methods.

While the Government's restrictions continue, most didactic and theoretical training is taking place online, with face-to-face clinical skills teaching in our new, state-of-the-art facilities wherever possible. The latter is delivered to small groups, enabling us to be mindful of any social distancing measures in place. Our new and returning students also continue to have excellent access to clinical cases in the UCLH Eastman Dental Hospital.

Inevitably staff and students will need to be prepared to respond flexibly to changes in Governmental advice and we will continue to monitor the complex, evolving situation.
