Eastman postgraduate Nima Amin receives her award at British Orthodontic Conference

Our Orthodontic Department has, once again, achieved great success at the British Orthodontic Conference held in Glasgow.

Professor Nigel Hunt was awarded Honorary Membership of the British Orthodontic Society in recognition of his outstanding contribution to orthodontics, and to the wider field of dentistry.

Professor Susan Cunningham presented the pre-congress course on 'Psychology in Dentistry', with Professor Tim Newton from KCL and Dr Justin Shute from UCLH. She also spoke on the main congress programme.

And once again our postgraduates excelled:

Dr Rob Smyth, who has just completed the MClinDent programme in Orthodontics was awarded the Houston Research prize for the best research dissertation.

Dr Stuart Yeaton, who has also has just completed the MClinDent, was an award winner in the MOrth cases prize.

Dr Nausheen Siddiqui, who has just entered her final year of study at UCL Eastman, won the University Teachers Group prize for her presentation of her MClinDent research.

Dr Nima Amin, also in her final year of study, won the BOS/J. J. Thompson Prize for the best MClinDent protocol.

Many congratulations on these achievements!
