Jane Goodman

We were very saddened to learn of the death of Jane Goodman. 

Jane had a long association with the Eastman that extended from her appointment as Registrar in 1974 through to Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry. Jane contributed significantly to the activities of the Institute by virtue of her supervision of many postgraduates and junior staff, ensuring that their acquired skills would prevent or lessen oral disease of childhood across the globe. 
 
Jane held many key positions such as Chair of the Standing Advisory Committee for Paediatric Dentistry, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was one of the initial examiners of the Membership in Paediatric Dentistry and the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship examination. 
 
Jane was a significant advocate for Paediatric Dentistry, kind, caring, authoritative and professional with students and trainees. She will be greatly missed.
