Eastman Success at the British Orthodontic Conference 2018
12 October 2018
The Orthodontic Department achieved success again this year at the British Orthodontic Conference in London.
Kerry Lancaster was awarded the Distinguished Technician Award in recognition of her distinguished service to orthodontics.
Kerry has been Deputy Chief Instructor technician at the Eastman since 1995 and has taught Postgraduates, Dental Nurses and Dental Technicians. She is currently responsible for delivering the technical training to the Orthodontic Postgraduates as part of the MClinDent programme.
Kerry is a member of the Orthodontic Technicians’ Association and in 2013 was awarded with ‘Fellow’ membership status. She also served as a committee member on their council for many years.
Meanwhile Dr Rupal Shah, who has just completed the MClinDent programme in Orthodontics, achieved double success.
Rupal won the MOrth cases prize, based on two sets of clinical records presented at the conference, and was also awarded second prize in the University Teachers’ Group presentations for her MClinDent research into outcomes of orthodontic treatment from a parent perspective.
Congratulations to both Kerry and Rupal on their success!
