Responsibilities:
Design and development of Control system Hardware/Software for specialized research equipment in the Rock & Ice Labs. Maintenance and repair of equipment. Provision of advice and technical support to academic and research staff.
Skills:
Control: PID control design and implementation in various languages/software packages: C++, Labview, Profilab Expert 4, Processing V4(Java), MATLAB(system modelling, real-time control via Simulink models with real-time kernel, system identification), Ladder Logic and PLC Programming, Data acquisition and Control using various Interface boards(PCI, PCIe, USB), Arduino Microcontrollers.
Robotics(Previous Employment): Design and development of Control systems for Wall Climbing Robots, working with a team of Mechanical Engineers and research staff. Worked in Teaching labs with various Industrial Robots(IBM7545, Staubli RX90, SykeRobot 600-5, Fanuc A600, Niryo-1) with programming skills in the following Robotic languages AML, C, VAL+ and Python.
