Programme: MSc Advanced Audiology

What is your educational background?

I did a five-year university degree in Speech and Language Therapiy and Audiology at the National University of Rosario in Argentina.

Why did you apply to UCL for the MSc Advanced Audiology programme?

I wanted to increase my knowledge as well as my expertise in the area. This way I can provide a high-quality service to the patients.

I also wanted to work as an Audiologist here in the UK, so I felt this was the appropriate pathway to take.

What is the best thing about your course?

I believe that the fact that our professors are experts in their field is very valuable. We receive up-to-date information and learn about different methods while using state-of-the-art technology.

What do you find interesting about your field of study and what inspires you?

I want to assist patients to have access to sounds, enjoy life and communicate with their loved ones.

What are your career plans once you’ve completed your current programme of study at UCL?

I would like to work full-time as an Audiologist in the UK. This is my main goal for the upcoming months and I am working hard to accomplish this.

What advice would you give to students considering the MSc Advanced Audiology?

I recommend to everyone thinking about starting this MSc, to take a step forward and do it. I know that it is a big investment, but it is totally worth it.
