Rajeev studied medicine and pharmacology at Cambridge University and University College London. He started his higher surgical training in Ear Nose and Throat Surgery in 2010 and gained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2014. During his training he worked with the cochlear implant teams at St Georges Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and was fascinated by how this technology could lead to extraordinary improvements in hearing and quality of life. He took time out of his training programme and started his research at the UCL Ear Institute in April 2015.
