Dr Jenny Bizley has been awarded a Career Development Award

This prestigious  award totalling £4,850,082.52 will be used for the project, 'How does the brain map sounds into the world?' which has the goal of understanding how the brain constructs three-dimensional auditory scenes over the next 8 years.

Bizley is a Sir Henry Dale Research Fellow & Professor of Auditory Neuroscience, and leads the Bizley Lab, which seeks to link the patterns of neural activity in auditory cortex to our perception of the world around us.

Professor Jonathan Gale, Director of the UCL Ear Institute, says the recognition is "very well-deserved and quite frankly an outstanding success."
