World Hearing Day 2019

Ear Institute researchers took part in another set of public engagement events for this years World Hearing Day.
On Friday 1st March Ear Institute researchers set up their stalls as part of World Hearing Day (falling on 3rd March every year). This year's events took place in the much warmer confines of the British Library.
World Hearing Day 2019's themes focused around early identification and intervention for hearing loss and the public visiting our stands could check their hearing, learn how ears work and talk to hearing researchers.
A very busy day was had by all and it was particularly pleasing to see children check and talk about their hearing, lessons that will hopefully help protect them for the future.
