Lecturer (Teaching) in Audiology

About the role

The UCL Ear Institute is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Lecturer (Teaching) in Audiology (Grade 8/0.8FTE) to contribute to our undergraduate and post-graduate teaching programmes in Audiology. The post holder will undertake leadership roles, for example as a BSc or MSc Programme Director, and will also contribute to teaching and learning as a Module Co-ordinator and Personal Tutor. They will deliver high quality evidence-based teaching and learning with constructively aligned assessment to undergraduate and postgraduate students. They will supervise student research projects relevant to their areas of specialist knowledge and provide pastoral support to students as a personal tutor. They will also promote positive working relationships with members of the public, clinicians, researchers, professional organisations and other stakeholders. This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

Salary: UCL Grade 8, £51,474–£60,521

Duration: Permanent/Part Time (0.8 FTE)

About you

This is a permanent, part time role for a highly motivated individual with experience teaching clinical Audiology who is looking to develop their pedagogical and leadership skills. You will be expected to work with applicants, students, UCL staff, clinical services, members of the public and professional organizations to deliver high quality education in clinical audiology, so excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You will have demonstrated outstanding student-centred teaching and experience in clinical audiology. You also must be registered with AHCS, HCPC or RCCP. Prior experience with module and/or programme development or improvement is desirable but not essential.
