Reasonable Adjustment Co-ordinator & Administrator (Maternity Cover)

A Reasonable Adjustment Co-ordinator & Administrator is needed to provide administrative support for the UCL Deafness, Cognition and Language (DCAL) Research Centre

This is a Maternity cover and the postholder will be expected to book Language Service Professionals (LSPs) for DCAL shared bookings using online booking system (Language Beam), within various contexts and identifying and matching suitably skilled professionals and ensure to continue building a pool of these LSPs.
They will process invoices, maintain records of income and expenditures from funders and provide other administrative and finance support to the Centre.
Maternity Cover will start from 21st June 2021 until 21st February 2022, in the first instance.

Key Requirements

The postholder must be fluent in British Sign Language.
 
They should possess relevant administration experience in higher education, voluntary sector or research administration experience.
 
The successful applicant should have excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with both deaf and hearing people; having also an appreciation of the diversity within the deaf population and up-to-date knowledge of issues faced by deaf people. They should have excellent attention to detail. Experience of minute taking is also desirable.
