The MBBS BSc is a 6-year course leading to the award of the Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). It does not lead to a combined Bachelors and Masters. There are separate Masters courses offered by UCL Medical School though and those who are aiming for a career in academic medicine may apply for the MBPhD programme which is taken between years 4 and 5 of the MBBS programme.
