Heritage and wellbeing: new research grant for Mostafa Hosseini

Mostafa Hosseini, certified psychologist, has been awarded a research grant from the so-called Stiftelsen Allmänna Barnhuset foundation. Under the guidance of Elisabeth Punzi (Psychologist and Cluster leader for CCHS / Heritage and Wellbeing, UGOT), Mostafa will investigate how unaccompanied refugee boys and girls from Afghanistan experience their everyday lives in Sweden focusing on their experience of inclusion. The focus of the study will be on the participants' descriptions of community initiatives which, according to themselves, have contributed to their experience of inclusion, but also what they consider themselves lacking for continued establishment. Since Mostafa Hosseini himself has his roots in Afghanistan, participants will have the opportunity to be interview in their native language, dari.

The study is connected to the research conducted within the framework of CCHS cluster Heritage and Wellbeing and the theme "Minority Heritage, Traumatic Experience, Narrative Identity, and Wellbeing", one of the cluster's main research areas. The survey will be conducted in 2019 and the results will be published in two articles.
