Chelsie completed her MA in Cultural Heritage Management at the University of Sheffield before working in roles at several prestigious institutions across the UK such as National Museums Scotland and Suffolk County Council (Suffolk Archives).

She has a keen interest and curiosity for history and culture, and attendees gained valuable knowledge about her roles in the industry and how to find work in the sector.

Chelsie’s job-hunting advice to students was:

  1. Be open-minded and don’t be afraid to ask questions
  2. Gain experience by volunteering or taking part in training
  3. Arrange chats and network with industry professionals

The online talk is part of our Creative Careers series, which aims to highlight different career pathways and employment options by interviewing different people who work in the creative and cultural industries.

The talk was open to students from the following courses, which are part of the School for the Creative and Cultural Industries, an interdisciplinary school at UCL East.
