The module includes inequalities in children's health and interventions to reduce them; recognition of vulnerable children in society; the role of child health professionals as advocates for children, child poverty and social exclusion, ethics, children's rights; health needs and use of health services among hard to reach groups such as the homeless, asylum seekers, and refugees. Looked after children, adoption and fostering issues. Recognition and management of intentional injury. Working with other agencies involved in child protection; ways of working with other agencies. Interventions for prevention of child abuse.
