4th Meeting of the UCL Soft Materials Network 2021

Over 175 participants attended the 4th Meeting of the UCL Soft Materials Network which was organised by Dr Stefan Guldin (Associate Professor at UCL Chemical Engineering) together with colleagues Dr Giorgio Volpe (Chemistry) and Dr Nikolitsa Nomikou (Department of Surgical Biotechnology). The programme was split over 2 weeks and included plenary talks, an online poster session as well as a 2 min video competition.

Dr Claire Hoskins, Reader in the School of Pure and Applied Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde reported on "Thermally Triggered Nano-assassins for Pancreatic Cancer". 

Prof Raymond E. Goldstein, Schlumberger Professor of Complex Physical Systems in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge presented his work on "Cytoplasmic Streaming and the Swirling Instability of the Microtubule Cytoskeleton".

Prof Daan Frenkel, Professor at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge closed the seminar series with his talk on "Driven Transport on the Nanoscale"
