MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing at UCL

The mission of the MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing at UCL (MRC LHA) is to identify biological and social factors that affect lifelong health, ageing and the development of chronic disease, and to use findings to design and test interventions that enhance healthy ageing.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

The MRC LHA at UCL is closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. As the situation continues to change rapidly, our top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our staff, students and study members.

LINKAGE-Camden - A COVID-19 sub-study is underway to understand who gets infected, and how and when that infection becomes severe.  We are inviting current members of the LINKAGE study as well as anyone who is a resident of Camden and is aged over 70 to take part. For more information: COVID-19 sub-study

SABRE - We have sent out an online questionnaire to our study members who we have an email address for. We would like to learn more about the implications the lockdown is having on our study members lives.

NSHD - We have sent out an online questionnaire to our study members as we want to learn more about the impact the virus and lockdown is is having on the lives of our study members.

Neuroimaging study - All clinic visits have been postponed.

All staff and students have been encouraged to work from home. This will affect our ability to respond to data sharing queries and postal letters.

If you need to contact us, please email mrclha.enquiries@ucl.ac.uk or phone 020 7670 5700 or 020 7670 5705.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to reflect any changes.
