Data management and security

Data is brought together from several different sources to underpin this ambitious research initiative.

Data Management

Where patient data is used it is held in UCL’s (ISO 27001) Data Safe Haven.  We ensure all such data complies with EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016), the UK Data Protection Act (2018) and in line with the UCL School of Life and Medical Science (SLMS-IG03) Research Information Governance Policy in accordance with data sharing protocols under which such data are obtained.

A lot of our research makes use of summary level statistics which do not identify any individual hence not subject to GDPR.
