Affiliate Students

The Division of Biosciences encourages applications for affiliate study.

It enriches the study experience of both the affiliate student and those on our full time degrees, contributing to UCL's mission of a truly global university.

UCL Portico

Introduction

The Division of Biosciences welcomes Study Abroad Students for the following periods of time:

  • Full academic year (September to June)
  • Autumn (fall) term only (September to December)
  • Spring and summer terms (January to June)

Our affiliate intake is primarily from the USA (as Junior Year Abroad Students), but we welcome students from all countries, from both outside and inside the European Union. Students from within the EU are eligible, but numbers are restricted by University quotas.

Usually, students are expected to take at least half of their course units within the relevant discipline but additional course units can be taken in any other department at UCL.

Application

All applications for admission to UCL as a Study Abroad ('Affiliate') student are processed by the UCL International Office and further details can be found on the Study Abroad Guide website.
