Pharmacology Offer Holders

Welcome to our Offer Holder page for Pharmacology. Here you will find information about our event and also about life at UCL.

Congratulations on receiving an offer to study at UCL!  Details of your offer should now be available on UCAS, and a copy of your offer letter is also available on your UCL Applicant Portal page. We would like to invite you to our virtual Biosciences post-offer session, where you will be able to meet the Pharmacology Admission Tutor, current students, and where you can get a feel for what it will be like to study at UCL.

A multi-panel image comprising a close-up of a student pipetting, two drug structures, a dose-response plot, a drug-receptor kinetic scheme and the 3D structure of an adrenoceptor, with the drug salbutamol bound.

Images (clockwise) Top left: Experimenting in the lab. Top right: the related structures of adrenaline (top) and atenolol (below), which, despite binding to the same site on the beta-type adrenoceptors, have opposing actions.  Bottom right: the structure a beta adrenoceptor with asthma drug salbutamol bound. Bottom left: a dose-response curve and, above, a simple kinetic scheme for drug-receptor interactions.

Please refer to your UCL Applicant Portal for information about your session times and for the corresponding zoom links.

Further details and a schedule for the day will be emailed to you shortly before the event.  We look forward to welcoming you to UCL!
