Research summary

Academic Background

PhD thesis: Role of cholesterol metabolism in atherosclerosis.

As a postdoctoral scientist, I worked on a number of research projects: the role of gap junctions in Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease;  early neurogenesis inducing factors in Xenopus laevis, and the role of Robos and Slits in axon guidance in mammals.

I am interested in understanding of  biological mechanisms that lead to the diseased state in humans, and pharmacogenetics.
