Dr Andrew MacAskill (NPP) awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant

Congratulations to Andrew MacAskill (NPP) for the award of a €2.5m ERC Consolidator Grant. Andrew and his lab will investigate how animals dynamically change their strategies for learning and decision making based on their levels of hunger and thirst. They aim to understand the cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying this key ability, dysfunction of which is strongly associated with disorders such as depression, anorexia and obesity.
