Research led by Dr Alex Pigot selected by The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

Research led by Alex Pigot in CBER quantifying risks to biodiversity from climate change was selected by The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as one of the key impact metrics featured in the AR6 synthesis report's Summary for Policy Makers that was released on Monday this week. The research shows how risks of widespread biodiversity loss globally will increase with every increment of global warming, highlighting the imperative of immediate and rapid greenhouse gas emission reductions.
