Associate Professor Appointment - Dr Daniel Maynard

Dr. Daniel Maynard has been appointed Associate Professor in Quantitative Ecology within the Department of Genetics, Evolution and Environment. He will be joining the People & Nature Lab at UCL East, part of the Centre for Biodiversity and Environment Research.

Daniel's research focuses on how biodiversity is maintained in complex ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on how species' interactions shape broad-scale patterns in functional and phylogenetic diversity. His work ranges from laboratory experiments of microbial systems, to global studies on forest ecosystems, to methodological advances in predicting community dynamics.
