Patel lab papers cover discovery of elusive receptor proteins for Ca2+ mobilizing messenger NAADP
25 November 2021
The recent discovery of elusive receptor proteins for the Ca2+ mobilizing messenger NAADP were recently discussed by Professor Sandip Patel and colleagues in a commentary in Cell Calcium and a review in Trends in Biochemical Sciences.
Papers from Professor Sandip Patel (UCL CDB) and colleagues, published in Cell Calcium and Trends in Biochemical Sciences discuss recent work to identifying the elusive NAADP-BPs as Jupiter microtubule associated homolog 2 (JPT2) and ‘like-Sm’ protein 12 (LSM12). These discoveries enable new insight into this signaling pathway and the role of NAADP in cellular physiology and disease.
