Applications sought for x3 Lecturer/Associate Professor positions
9 November 2021
The department is currently seeking applications for three lecturer/associate professor positions.
We are seeking to recruit three outstanding individuals to develop world-class research in the following areas:
1. Anatomy (grade 8 or 9). The Centre for Integrative Anatomy (CIA) fosters research on the evolutionary drivers of anatomical change in vertebrate (back-boned) animals (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/biosciences/cell-and-developmental-biology/centres...). We seek candidates with research interests that align with the CIA in particular those with interests in evolutionary neuroanatomy and experience of teaching human neuroanatomy.
2. Cell Biology (grade 8 or 9). CDB is increasingly combining research strengths in cell (organelle) biology and developmental biology through considering cell workings in an in vivo context during embryogenesis. We seek candidates with research interests that align broadly to this framework in particular those with interests in organelle communication or mechanobiology and teaching core cell and developmental biology concepts.
3. Computational Biology (grade 8). We are looking to strengthen the Department’s presence in this area. This post will be an integral part of the development of a new research centre. We seek candidates with experience of teaching computational modelling and data science, plus research interests encompassing dynamical modelling, systems and synthetic biology and artificial intelligence/machine learning.
Further details and information on how to apply can be viewed here.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday, 8th December.
