Congratulations to Dr. Marie Holt for BHF Fellowship + her Physiological Society Prize Lecture

Dr. Marie Holt has been awarded a BHF Fellowship and will be joining NPP Prof Stefan Trapp’s lab  March 2021.  She was also awarded a Prize lecture as described by The Physiological Society:-

‘The Physiological Society’s R Jean Banister Prize Lecture will this year be given by Marie Holt of Florida State University. During her lecture entitled ‘Mind Affects Matter – Brainstem Circuits Linking Stress, Physiology, and Behaviour’, Marie will explore how chronic stress can result in physiological disorders such as eating pathologies and cardiovascular disease. Marie will then introduce her own research with which she hopes to uncover novel targets for the treatment of such disorders’.
