Biosciences Staff Awarded for Excellence

Nadine won the award for Outstanding Individual Contribution to Achieving our Mission, the award for “…demonstrating that an individual is striving towards UCL’s future. They demonstrate vision, a sense of ownership and innovation in their work.”

Nadine’s award was for her work in addressing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) barriers in PhD researcher development. Colleagues commended Nadine as someone whose work in the postgraduate EDI realm exemplifies the key characteristics of clear vision, profound commitment and ownership of a “wicked problem” of many interacting parts.

Nominated in the same category was Tony Langford, Technical Procurement Specialist in the Division, who was also nominated for a Personal Excellence award. Joining Tony in that group was Scott Boyne, Staffing Administrator, and Stavroulla Stavrou, Senior Finance Officer. Scott was also nominated for the Outstanding Contribution to Staff Experience award.

The Professional Services awards are run annually to recognise, celebrate and reward colleagues who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their roles, contributing to the success of UCL.
