Volkswagen Stiftung “Life?” grant awarded to Saric lab

As a part of an international collaboration led by Freiburg University, Baum and Saric labs will work towards answering how different cellular compartments developed their communication. To do so, together with their partners, the labs will investigate vesicle trafficking across evolution – from archaea to eukaryotes – from a biochemistry, cell biology, and physics point of view. We are very excited about this collaboration and hope it will bring us closer to the understanding of how complex life forms emerged.
As a result we have two fully funded PhD opportunities to join the Baum and Saric labs. Please see the links for the projects below for further details:
