Emily was previously a Project Manager at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. In her role she was managing a UK-wide quality improvement programme aiming to reduce the number of babies who die or are left with severe brain damage as a result of complications during their mother’s labour.

Emily told us "I have joined UCL’s Biochemical Engineering Department as the Future Vaccine Manufacturing Research Hub (Vax-Hub) Project Manager. The Hub co-Director here at UCL is Dr Martina Micheletti and I’ll also be working with all the academics and researchers here working on Vax-Hub. Vax-Hub is a collaborative project with the Hub’s other co-Director, Professor Sarah Gilbert, being based at the Jenner Institute in Oxford University. There are academics and researchers working on Vax-Hub at the University of Oxford as well as the other collaborator institutions (Imperial College, University of Leeds and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). You can see all of the people involved on the Vax-Hub website."

Emily is pictured at the Vax-Hub Users Group Meeting that took on 20 May 2019. It was attended by the majority of the Vax-Hub research team, also invited all the companies who provided letters of support in the original application for Vax-Hub funding.

"We are holding an open event in September with the Future Targeted Healthcare Manufacturing Hub and the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN). The theme of the event is Viral Vectors for Vaccines and Gene Delivery so keep checking our website as we’ll be opening bookings soon." Said Emily.
