Groups and Collaborators
Research activities will be delivered through a Hub and Spoke model, led by two Hubs (UCL Biochemical Engineering and The Jenner Institute, University of Oxford), which will bring together a world-leading team of vaccinologists, biochemical, materials and system engineers to deliver an ambitious programme of research.
The Spoke Team brings to the Hub a range of expertise essential to deliver the proposed work and ensure its translation to benefit Low to Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). The spokes involved in the Vax-Hub are:
- The University of Leeds
- Imperial College London
- The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
- PT Biofarma
- The Serum Institute of India
Organisations, from academic groups, small or medium-sized enterprises to large companies can join Vax-Hub. For a small fee, membership allows the organisation to participate in Platform Operations which include:
- Interaction vouchers- up to the value of £10k for the partnering/consultancy for a maximum of 6 months
- Feasibility Studies- up to the value of £100k for 1-year funding of a demonstration technology
- Training courses- Vaccines training course offered to delegates from LMIC manufacturers
