Research summary
Francesca is interested in finance for the energy transition, including green technologies and critical minerals. She is expert in complex networks and complex systems approaches. As a parallel research stream, Francesca has interest in business models for climatech innovations.
Biography
Francesca is a postdoc Research Fellow at the Institute for Sustainable Resources (ISR), University College London (UCL). She is also an affiliated researcher at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) in Venice, Italy.Francesca holds a PhD in Climate Change Sciences and Management from Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Economist by training (MSc Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University and BA in Economics from the University of Pisa), Francesca has advanced programming skills and knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methods.
Prior to joining UCL, she worked in research centers (CMCC), international organisations (Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT)) in Europe, African and Central America. Francesca is Italian by birth, fully proficient in Spanish and English (C2) with intermediate knowledge of French (B2).
