Eco-jargon explained by Professor Paul Ekins

Professor of Resources and Environmental Policy, Paul Ekins has worked with Smart Energy GB to help explain some of the eco-jargon heard daily but perhaps not understood fully.

Professor Paul Ekins has collaborated with Smart Energy GB to help people understand some of the increasing amounts of eco-jargon we have been hearing across the media. Smart Energy GB is a not-for-profit, government-backed campaign helping people understand the importance of smart meters and their benefits. They’ve teamed up with author and broadcaster Simon Reeve to clearly clarify the most misunderstood eco-jargon explained by expert Professor Ekins.

  • Biomass
  • Carbon neutral
  • Offsetting carbon
  • Regenerative
  • Carbon footprint
